Happy New Year everybody. If you have nothing better to do, you can come over to my place and help me dig my way out. Winter's hardly begun, and we're already buried in snow.
I love snow. I want to take some nice snow pictures this year, but all we get here in the UK is miserable grey rainy days
I ventured out yesterday Smeggy and managed to capture some grey

Happy New Year.

45'C yesterday, 30'C last night whilst out celebrating and cooler today.

The K5 and K7 were actually too hot to hold yesterday when I was out with them as in direct sunlight on the harness. They survived.

Best regards
You can go off people

I had a similar problem with a Canon bridge in work. Someone had inserted the card wrongly and a piece of the plastic near the contacts had broken and was jamming the card in. There was only one solution..... Rip it out! I then took the camera apart to remove the piece of plastic, amazingly when I put it all back together it worked perfectly.
The camera was beyond warranty and I wouldn't advise this as a solution.

I certainly hope not, I haven't got the money together for the replacement yet.

I put one of my latest photos through PhotoMe to find I had passed the milestone of 100,000 photos taken with my trusty K-7 it was number 101719 I then had to set about finding number 100,000. I assumed it was a karting picture but this proved to be wrong and was from the previous day when I'd been in the Brecon Beacons with my crook (poorly) friend. As it turns out it's not a very inspiring photo but here it is anyway. The photo wasn't in my collection I had deleted it as I had other versions of the shot, but luckily it was still on the memory card.
I took my first shot with it on 6th Jan 2010.

I wonder if Pentax are clearing out their stocks of K-5 components readying themselves for the next body, it has to happen soon.

It would help more if you photographed more of the writing on the barrel and around the front element, Also a few of the mount.
