K5 SD Card stuck.

Hi,

Has anybody had the SD card stick in a K5,mine has never come out far, but now it dosnt come out at all, bit annoying as the camera was only got last March.

Nope, mine always felt fiddly to get out, but I have now developed a method that basically fires it out!

Hope you get it sorted.

Method seems to be to push the card in with a thumb nail, then keeping the pressure on the end of the card slid the nail off, at which point the card will spring out.

I had a similar problem with a Canon bridge in work. Someone had inserted the card wrongly and a piece of the plastic near the contacts had broken and was jamming the card in. There was only one solution..... Rip it out! I then took the camera apart to remove the piece of plastic, amazingly when I put it all back together it worked perfectly.
The camera was beyond warranty and I wouldn't advise this as a solution.

Found the problem, the memory card had split at the seam, pulled it out with a pair of tweezers, new memory card is OK.

Now got to try and fight the card warranty.
