If you are not happy then return it before it's too late, otherwise it will gnaw at you every time you use the lens. This time write down the serial number and check it when you get the replacement, before leaving the shop!

Appreciated but rather than go to the expense of changing system, simply try harder and Pentax will produce the results you need and sometimes better. Better because the colours seem to be more accurate and not over saturated.

The Canon is very good in the upper ISO levels, but it is also virtually twice the price.
