It is the 4 element version and it works with SDM/HSM. Someone snap it up please before my resolve breaks

I saw one on Saturday while walking the coast between Langland Bay & Caswell Bay on the Gower Peninsula so popped on the DA*300 and fired off a few shots.

Are you covering the viewfinder on long exposures to prevent light leakage?

With the naked eye I could just make out that there was a white thing on the next roof, so I put my DA*300 on my K-5iis and had a look, through the view finder I could see no more rally, I then manually focussed until the white thing was more visible and let the camera auto focus to fine tune and this is what the camera saw, I think it was 51,200 ISO too.

Just got mine back from JP after a 4 month break, apart from a few days in the middle, and it is now better than it ever was. On the K-5iis it seems to be much more reliable when focusing, on the K-7 it was almost never in focus and I kind of fell out of love with it.... but now

I had the K-7 (same sensor but faster burst rate) and upgraded to the K-5iis. What a difference, I was staggered. You'll need a fast lens for motorsport though ,something like the Sigma 70-200 f2.8. It's my go to lens at the kart track.
Some Examples for you
