Initial indications suggest that IQ isn't good enough for the price been asked - it's the only thought I've had about it to be honest

Have just read a review which shows IQ is better than the 18-250 (which I have now), but not as good as the DA* 18-150 (??).
I think the high price is due to the new DC focusing system and the WR !!
Nice range though for walk about !? Very tempted !!

It's an attractive range and the WR is a useful feature. If it is better than the 18-250mm then it's absolutely good enough. The 18-250mm is not at all a poor lens.

I'm very interested in this lens.
It is said the DC motor is faster than the 'poor' SDM.

Had the price been around the same as its Nikon/Canon counterparts (or just a little more due to WR) then I would have one as a walkabout lens but I do think it's much too expensive.
Been given a price of £400 plus postage by a very good dealer which is more acceptable so I may talk myself into buying one yet.

I agree Mike, it is too expensive. 400GBP is more like it, that would be almost tempting. Almost.
Cheapest I have found it here is €599, which is not tempting.

John,
When are we going to see an in depth review of the 18-35mm WR?
Possibly by your good self?
Kindest regards,
Peter.

Can't really predict things like that as everything always happens at short notice!
