SRS thought it just possible that it could arrive this week but were clearly far from confident and more hopeful for next week. However the translation of a Japanese page (in the K5 firmware upgrade thread if I remember correctly) referred to release (in Japan presumably) at the end of November. Maybe it is a bad translation, we can hope.
I am fairly well up the SRS queue for it. Meanwhile, midway as I am through an upgrade from the dark ages to the wonders of a K5 I find myself with no zoom lenses at all, just a 14mm and a 35mm. Believe it or not I've not really missed the zoom. It's just like the old days. But I won't cancel the 18-135 order, I'm just not chewing at the bit any more.

They aren't getting the 35 f2.4 until then either if I recall correctly, so not necessarily cause for despair.

They certainly do - I was in SRS the other day and Chris let me try it out. From a quick test in the shop I was very impressed with IQ. Definitely a good value lens, very compact too, but I'm not tempted personally as I don't really need a prime at that focal length. Then again, at that price...
Cheers, Adam

Ah, must be the US that doesn't have the 35 yet.

B&H are shipping the 35 as the K-r kit, but they don't have it as a separate lens yet. Not even listed.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
