Ah, you knew. A friend of mine called round and I made coffee, causing some amusement as I raised my coffee mug, emblazoned with "Simply Hold a Pentax".....

Now where can I get Pentax wallpaper?
John where did you get the mug?

Regards,
Peter.

I purchased a K20 at the end of January (last day of cash back). I personally handed the completed forms into Pentax at the beginning of February. Sent two emails via the Pentax website chasing up payment. These emails have been ignored is anyone at Pentax ?.
This is strange,as I got my cash backs on both my K20D, and my SMC DA 55-300mm very quickly!

Well, for better or worse etc. etc. just didn't believe we would get tested as soon as we have!

As many of you will know, Fiona broke her ankle in 2 places in the middle of our honeymoon driving Route 66!

We did our best to not let it spoil the trip too much, but since then we have had to deal with catching a nasty bug on the flight, coming home to a leaking pipe that has resulted in us having to repair the ceiling in the flat downstairs, a broken boiler that left us without heating and hot water for over a week, and then to find out that Fiona will be off work for 2 months on S.S.P. and the news today that she will now have to have surgery tomorrow as things are not progressing as well as they should! Someone somewhere is definately testing us!

But in true stiff upper lip style, we thought we would have a bit of fun with some of our photos, which we hope you will enjoy!

So, here is Fiona at the Wigwam motel!

No time to really do any PP on these as they are mainly for fun, but we do have loads of photos of the trip that we want to work on, and we will post some of them when things return to some kind of normality, but till then, hope you enjoy these!

Mr & Mrs Unlocker!
Sorry to hear about Fiona, but are these pictures showing us that she's really put her foot in it ?
On a more serious note please give her my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Stored on HDD "C", and backed up onto HDD "F", which is mounted into an ICY Box removable caddy.

I work on the theory that both HDD's won't fail at the same time?

Can anyone please tell me where I can purchase a glass protection shield...I may have the name incorrect...it fits over the LCD screen for protection and is better then the sticky film that is usually used. I know they sell them for Nikons and Cannons but I haven't been able to find a supplier for the Pentax K20 in this country...all help appreciated. Many Thanks
Why not the Fujifilm protective foil?
It comes in a pack of 3 foils and protects the LCD monitor, and does not prevent the viewing of the monitor in any way, it's not sticky, it uses surface adhesion, not unlike cling film!
It's cheap and more than does the proctection job admirably.

Kind regards,

Peter.

I had one of these! Great camera, never a moments trouble except at my sister's wedding where I miss loaded the film!

Just though I would mention Harrow Technical, they list repare for £56.50 - great service. If you don't want to get it fixed, they also buy, may be worth a look.
Hi I have an MZ7 with a dead shutter,(Never dropped, banged, or abused in any way, all LED's work fine, auto focus works, but the shutter is dead!).
The problem is at £56.50, it is an uneconomical repair, as the camera is only worth about £20.
This was the reason that I bought the K20D in the first place!

I'm left wondering how many other Pentax users have found themselves in a similar situation, with repair charges far out weiging the value of the camera!

Hi Peter,
Is it auto focus, and how many elements does it have?
What is its filter size?

regards Peter.
It actually uses a foam filter.
Foam filters?
Is this a first from Hoya?
