I don't see the issue here - I've always put the tripod + head in my suitcase and have never had a problem. Camera bag goes as carry-on.

I am also on Opera 12 and have no problems on any other site. I was well aware that I hadn't updated to the latest version but have compelling reasons for not doing so. A change to PU has meant that I can't use the site as once I did, so I'll use a different browser in future; the other side of this is that because it's not readily in front of me I won't visit as often.

Thanks to David Burleson for his time via PM in arriving at this outcome.

I hope someone can address the issue with the "back" button not working - at least two of us are having problems and PU is the common denominator.

The "back" button on my browser has ceased to function - it is only on PU, works fine everywhere else. Using Opera on Win7. Other than that, it looks nice, but a bit too white for me - maybe a less intense shade or break it up a bit?

I've had the aluminium version for about 18 months - great bit of kit and holds my K5 + Grip and big Sigma with no trouble.

You should be able to use any head that has the right thread.

My original was a Canon, switched to Epson and have never looked back. I'm now on my 3rd Epson in 15 years and have no complaints.

I won't be listing all my kit on any website in a hurry, it strikes me that the database is unlikely to remain secure.
True, but then it's only a list of numbers against your Userid, and I rather like the idea of an instant alert to other registered users in the event your kit is stolen or lost. There's a similar database here in the UK that was originally for mobile phones only, but it doesn't have the alert facility afaik.
Probably immobilise.com which is the first port of call for most of the UK's Police forces when they recover items believed stolen. I've got all the kit that matters registered with them.

If you mean 'ignore' certain posters wouldn't that mean everyone having a filter of some kind attached to their account. That would introduce self moderation and what happens when everyone is ignoring everyone else
That's exactly what I meant, yes. It is a feature on many forums and one I find quite useful. You can chose to use the "eyeroll" emoticon, but it was uncalled for! The request was for any features we might like to see in the future.

I can recommend the Manfrotto ball-heads, will easily hold a gripped K5 with a big Sigma and bracket.
