New look forum

I don't know about others but I quite like the new clean forum design, easy to navigate and uncluttered.
What do others think?

Not keen on it. Too much space, I keep wanting to switch the text to bold But apparently it's sized to suite the majority so you can't argue

Cant say Im that keen.. Its all a bit bright....

I like it, much more modern

Modern is not the same as better

The type's allover the place and painful to look at. I'm using 1024x768 on a 19" 4:3 monitor.

I am on my phone and the text sizes differ from post to post in this thread.
Plus the floating banner gets is the way.
Early technical issues aside I think the site looks good.

It looks rather bare, and just highlights all of the targeted ads

I'm happy to give it a few days to get used to the look of it, as change is often a 'challenge'!!

Just logged on to my laptop and the font and banner issues aren't apparent.

I liked the old site but it may be just because I was used to it. It''s very bright and white:makes you blink, all that space.

When they changed Amateur Photographer I thought it looked cheap and nasty. I still do. Dumbed down, actually.

When you get old, change is indeed a challenge.

Oh, and I can't upload a picture into the Gallery. Must be new rules, or something I've missed. Never mind.

Browsing now on my iPad and that's not great: the design doesn't seem to work well at this width (nit matter if I hold the iPad horizontal or vertical. On some pages the forum posts creep under the right column. Small blocks of text just don't fit on one line and are thus carried over to a second line like "my portfolio" and "my settings" in the user box top right, creating a terrible vertical waste and hampering legibility.

Other than that I am aware that a new look takes time to get used to, I will give it that. But my tip would definitely be: test the site on mobile and tablet devices as they are a major vector for reading nowadays.
