You might also consider a Microsoft Surface tablet - cheaper than an iPad and somewhat more flexible.

I too am with G&H and have no complaints.

If you are going to insure as part of contents cover, do get it in writing that your kit is fully covered if away from your home - some policies cover all of your kit if it gets stolen in a burglary, but not if you have it nicked in the street.

Hmm, curiouser and curiouser...

I've re-installed LR4 at least twice, but the lenses I mentioned above have always been treated as described. Some sort of bug, perhaps?

LR4 has never recognised the 55-200 WR automatically, but as soon as I manually tell it that it's a Pentax, it understands! It will recognise the non-WR version without intervention from a human...

It also does not have a profile for my Sigma 170-500mm at all, I tend to go to the closest match and trust to luck...

The DA* 16-50, the 18-55WR and the 10-17 F/E are all picked up automatically.

This is very strange.

I took my camera bag through airport security with 4 camera batteries (two installed and two in a sealed pocket) as well as a pack of Li-ion batteries (retail packed) in another pocket.

No one batted an eyelid.

Oh, they were all sent by normal post to me, too...

Thanks for the comments, chaps.

Ken, I'd already done some work with the levels to get them to a point I liked - I've had a look at the full jpgs and they are pretty much as you describe, which is a look I wanted, so there must be something in the compression that has changed things?

Michael, I prefer your look, so I will adjust accordingly.

Phil, I know what you mean vis. being further left, but that would have put me half in and half out of the shop - I'd be part of the window and would have a staircase right in front.

I'd not noticed the white line, it's now been banished!

Thanks again, all

I've been wanting to improve my B&W skills for a while. I took these two yesterday and offer them up for comments as appropriate...

Agree with CMW's comments. No. 6 would have been even better if you'd dragged the bench to the left hand side of the shot
Have you tried flipping No.6 to do as described above? There is noting in it that will give such a transformation away... (like text or signage)

At £399 it looks like I will have to settle to wait for the price to go down and grab the 50-200WR instead.
The 50-200WR is a constant in my everyday bag. It has given some great results and it's been in some pretty un-lens-friendly places.

A slightly straightened (as much as I can get away with) B&W version. I prefer this to the colour...
