Ah, a City I used to spend a lot of time in when I was in my late teens and early 20's. I went back there about a year ago and not much has outwardly changed.

A nice collection, Aura, well done

Edit: Just realised I've got some shots from last year, I'll try and upload a couple...

Further edit: Having looked, I've got shots that are mainly the same as yours, but there are a few different ones...

My two least used are the 10-17mm Fish Eye and the Sigma 170-500. Of the two, I use the Sigma more, but for particular applications like wildlife or airshows. I've been meaning to sell/swap/PX the 10-17 for a while but never seem to get round to it - I don't really understand ebay...

I feel the trees in the first one add something to the image but I might have been tempted to omit the one on the high right* but in the second the prominence of the main one engulfs the chimneys.

*Depending on the local terrain, for all we know this was the best angle there was...

The snow plough manages to look ugly and beautiful at the same time, a great perspective!

What's the point of having a website if it's not for self promotion or for selling your wares? If you're selling goods and services from your site you have to have your Whois available as part of the ICANN rules I believe...
I believe that is correct. As my little bit of cyberspace isn't used commercially, there is a means of enabling people to contact me should they wish to but any transactions are done in the real world. Whilst there are many obvious advantages to having a presence on the web, there are quite a few chalked up for not putting everything out there...

My hosting site hide personal details automatically, anyone doing a "whois" will only find their contact information.

Personally, I prefer to use primes for portrait work but then I don't generally have to hurry as the work is planned to a degree. I've heard pretty good things about the 1.8, why not hire one and see how you get on?

A place I've wanted to go to for many years and you posting images has not helped any!

I really like 1 4 & 5, pity about the lighting upstand in 4, but appreciate you could do little about it.

They all look fine to me - it's a great lens, I won't part with mine!

The WR is a 49mm and the non-WR is a 52mm - I've got them both in front of me. I can't say I've noticed any real difference in optics, but then again it has been some time since I've used the non-WR version. The WR is a constant in the general kit-bag

Edit: Just been and weighed them - both bare (no caps, filters etc) the Non-WR comes in at 258g and the WR at 288g on my trusty set of scales.
