.............I will be very nit-picking.
So I'll better see No wonky horizons, sensor grud or other "mistakes".
Martin.
I wouldn't expect too many entries, Martin. Certainly, we are all improving continuously. But how likely is it to make the "best shot ever" within the next fortnight? (And also realise that this is the best shot ever!)
I see a cunning plan here: Martin wants this to be our final fortnightly competition, we are supposed to take our best shot ever. After that we have to stop photography (otherwise we would improve and run the risk of making an even better shot. Then we would be disqualified from this competition, loosing our face!)
This must be in the top ten of all time scams! It's in one league with the fake of the moon landings, the false death of Elvis and the secrecy around the Roswell landing. Outrageous!

looking at your alternative I'm pretty sure that that would have won as well.
At least we can be sure that you cannot win every competition and the next one is saved for one of the rest
Fantastic shot and I think I like it even better than the competition entry. Hadn't heard of Delfzijl before but it seems to be a good hunting ground for photo ops. At least for some people.

Well, I looked it up also, and on second thought: I settle for a commendation.
Chances are (according to my wife, who already knows, what I am up to) in about two weeks from now, the boys in white will stop at our house, strait-jacket at hand, and escorting a certain individual (presumably frothing around the mouth) to a nice, quiet and peaceful vicinity.
Martin.

It was shot with the DA 10-17 fisheye (of course). To get more texture in the leather I did a local equalization in Corel PhotoPaint, re-imported to Photoshop and put that on with soft light (masking the phone, obviously).
Isn't it a typical Martin? Shooting the longest focal length of all and still winning the "wide" competition, eh?
Well done, Martin! A striking shot (once more) from you.
RR: Great idea but frightening shot!

Thank you for answering my question, simple really but not if you don't know. Guess it depends on the forums you have used in the past and if it is a new layout it takes time to sort out. Can now enjoy the shots people enter into the competitions.

Jackie, this should make clear to you that it wasn't a stupid question.

Under "current competitions" you can see the entries for the active one or you can have a look through past competitions by clicking one of the pictures below.
Or you click here to get to the competitions.

Prieni – how about you make some mention of what’s going on here in your judge’s comments in the current weekly competition? Who knows – this might entice some weekly regulars over here.
Martin: Is it not a scam at all:
Does it mean they really landed on the moon in a tin can that had less computing power than a *istD:
I'm sure about Elvis, though
