Weekly Competition #89 - Abstract

That's a fabulous start, 2 entries already!
I feel reassured that the topic will end up with lots of high class entries.

Sorry guys,
I have decided to withdraw my entrie in this weeks competition. And therefore not enter again this week.( see rules)
After some checking I noticed this picture( blurred Birch Forest) already has been submitted by me in competition round #37. Movement
And gained a Highly commended. I make it a strict rule for my self, not to enter exactly the same picture twice in separate competitions.
At the moment of entering, I had simply forgotten about it. Sorry.

At least some of us were able to see the entry in the short span that it was in the competition. Unfortunately it cannot be seen in competition 37 anymore. Maybe you can put it up in your portfolio gallery? I do think that it is a very nice example of an abstract. And I remember that I was fascinated by me liking it, as I usually don't like these camera-movement blurry-type photos.

I think your rule (not to submit twice) can make things quite complicated as the number of competitions steadily increases...
I do understand it somewhat, though. I don't make it a rule, so wouldn't be worried if it happened, but I try to choose different entries.

So, one down, less work for me

Sure this is a very stupid question but where can one view the images entered for competition, thanks.

Hover the mouse over "Gallery: at the top of the screen and click on the third option "competitions", then click either on the winner of a past one, or the text of the current one.

Scroll up to the top of the screen, hover over "Gallery" then click "Competitions".
Under "current competitions" you can see the entries for the active one or you can have a look through past competitions by clicking one of the pictures below.
Or you click here to get to the competitions.

In the gallery there is a special section for competitions. You can see the more recent "old" ones there, and the current one.
The older competitions are in the forum under competitions.

Thank you for answering my question, simple really but not if you don't know. Guess it depends on the forums you have used in the past and if it is a new layout it takes time to sort out. Can now enjoy the shots people enter into the competitions.

And, even more important, you can enter the competitions as well!

Thanks for your good wishes, Martin. I think it's not as difficult as you make it out. Abstract always is an even more subjective sujet than other topics might be, so there is no right or wrong. This means I cannot make it right, but I cannot make it wrong, either.
