Good shot at it. And yes, I've seen that before, here is one nice example:

I can well imagine it being addictive!

Ps,
I am not the superstitious kind of guy, but maybe this is the prelude to the end of a already declining competition format. Seeing the quantity going downhill the last couple of rounds.
Martin, I wouldn't be so pessimistic. It's summertime after all and there are people out there who don't have their priorities right. They go out, go on holidays, photo tours, family outings and other passtimes. And over that they forget about the meaning of life (which, as we well know, is to keep the Pentax user family happy with delightful posts and stunning competition entries).

Once the leafs turn from green to brown they will come back, huddled up next to the warm computer power supply and will take part again.

I'm of course not taking a holiday but I have a fairly busy time at work (but hope to get a little break next week). That's why I missed some of the competitions recently. (Just in case that you feared I had a real life...)

Back on theme: I think it is encouraging to have three submissions from new people who aren't familiar with the rules. They will read and understand the rules and, who knows, they might become regulars in no time. And thus our happy family grows and grows...

Bonus point for me then wherever possible I always take off my sunglasses to talk to people, in fact I consider it rude not to.
Hmm, that means I'm rude. My glasses are photochromic and without them I don't see very well.
I guess I could look at Lilly or talk to her but not both at the same time then...

Never had the joys of a darkroom, but I guess that the quality of the enlarger lens only controlled the image quality when it was inferior to the camera lens by quite a margin. The camera lens needs to put the image on the small area of film whereas the enlarger lens needs to put the image on the (comparatively) large area of paper. A 10th of a millimeter is 1/360 of the longer edge of film but only 1/1800 of a 13 x 18 cm print.

But there are quite a few parameters deciding the overall quality that this is a tricky one to answer and hands-on darkroom experience is required. I'm sure this is the right place for such experience, though, and will be interested in the answers to come...

Although there is a lot going on in this image it works very well. Well done to you, lovely shot!

Amin, I would argue that this bit of fur is from the cat's front leg. It's in front of the lower jar and therefore in the focal plane.

Great shots, Martin! I'm not sure of the title for the dog pic, though
What does it look like when it's bored?

Pentaxophile,

the change in size is only done in the gallery. If you click on the 600 pixel size version you get the original version in full glory.
Which version the judge will look at them we don't know...

Thanks guys!

Pentaxophile: Yes, I really got lucky with the light.

David: I agree, it was worth the soaking and I did rely on the water resistance when I took the fisheye shots. It already had started dripping. I looked around and suddenly was alone in that place. I looked around and saw why; thick rain clouds were approaching fast...

Thanks Peter.
