Fantastic shot!
If I was to nitpick (and I never would, would I?) I would try to get the vertical lines vertical. It's only bothering me a bit, I think, because it is so close to perfection.

As for Safari: Whenever I update iTunes (which is almost every time I want to charge my iPod) I have to uncheck Bonjour, QuickTime and Safari. So they are certainly heading in the wrong direction. If I'm annoyed in this way by a company I soon start looking for alternatives.

Have to admit, though, that I'm very tempted to get an Apple laptop...

when I use IE8 (which I usually try to avoid) I see the same thing. In FF all is neatly sized as it should be.

I think that we should stick to the 800 pixels rule. I usually download competition entries when I have to judge them and might put them in Photoshop to try different crops, change things around etc. Also I check that the colourspace is set right (i.e. I try to look at the picture in the intended colourspace or at least the one I prefer for that picture).
And then the bigger images might have a slight advantage...

Well deserved, great shot! I have a minor niggle, though. Seems to me that there is an artificial vignetting added which is rhombic in shape. Is that true or am I betrayed by my weird brain again?

I hadn't seen that water flower shot before. That is sooooo stunning.
