No. 4 is a bit too saturated for my taste.
Good series!

If you haven't been to Venice you should go there, it is fantastic. And who knows how long it remains above sea level.
It is not that crowded, once you get a bit off the main tourist paths it is fine. It was a bit more crowded in September than it was the last time I was there, end of October. Also, the second time round you don't need to haste from sight to sight but can wander through the alleyways without aim.
I haven't tried a B&W conversion, haven't got all of the shots converted in colour, yet. But with all the textures I can imagine that some of them would make quite good B&W shots.
Dr. Mhuni, you're right, it is a sketchpad and the guy is drawing a church that is opposite of this building.
George, even if it would all be repaired and painted, it wouldn't take too long until it would look the same again.
This is the first one of the Venice shots that got in the PPG:

This was the view one morning from the hotel window on Lido.

Hope that helps,

Father Ted: I also had some problems finding it at first. Looked around a bit (and had German and English mixed; English OS on the Mac).

Is it me or is the focus wrong on the first
Looks to me like the car is in focus, not the cyclists
I do like the fact that these landscape photos got something different through the cyclists. Both would have been nice without them, but I think both are much more interesting with the cyclists in them.
I do agree, though, that the IR conversion looks wonderful on the trees. On the second one I would try adding a gradient from black to transparent on the bottom with layer mode 'soft light' to bring a bit more depth into the field.

Terrific city, two days for photos was nowhere near to adequate...

I hope you like them,
What an opener you have in No. 1. That and No. 3 I do like very much. No, wait (washes the fingers intensly...), strike the "like" and put "love" instead.
Stunning!
In No. 2, is that a bird walking in shallow water? Would be a very good picture but for me pales in comparison to the ones around it.
And it is only for that reason that I'm not as blown away by the last one, which is a very nice sky, indeed.
