I'm organizing a workshop in March/April and went out for a few evening shots of the conference centre.
As I don't have to submit anything for the competition this week I thought I might post these...

Do you have an example?

Colour temperature could help, also contrast (first AND second slider (plus black level)), saturation.
These are the first that come to mind. But it pretty much depends on the picture (and some pics do benefit from that dull day feeling).

Great series Robby, really like it!

With the blue of the skies it does help to expose a little bit on the low side (as you did by the (beautiful) looks of it).

Cheers,

Gwyn, the best of wishes for a speedy recovery of your daughter in law!

Thanks for judging in spite of circumstances!

And a second place! Hooray, I hit the sweet spot! This is even better than winning as I can take part again this week.

I'm using a DigiPartner Photo Bank IV extreme with 40 GB drive. Just before our last holiday trip my old one gave up. I'm always using these things with mixed feelings (especially when you don't have a chance to test it thoroughly before going on a trip).
Having said that I never have lost a single pic with either of the two I used.

The way that prices for cards go, however, I think it is the safer bet.

It's there in Firefox as well (latest version, Firefox just updated itself).

I think it's a great little applet and a good way to give some protection. I think it's a great benefit to be able to zoom in on (some of) your shots as there is so much detail to discover.

It might be worth noting that for browsing images (i.e. just look what's there or find a certain pic) SilkyPix is not the best application.
For this purpose I use Google's Picasa which is pretty quick and does show RAW files.

Well, I would prefer this little gadget ( http://www.eye.fi/ ) that would give WiFi to the K20D (and K10D). (I think I found the link to this somewhere here on the forum)
Apparently it's US only currently... (I did write an email to them as I have a work related use for this. They say that it's designed for the wireless channels that are used in the US that might be different from the channels used outside US. Haven't looked into that so far, might only be BS).

Welcome cupraman!

You came to the right place to get your questions on the K100D answered (or any other related questions).

Enjoy your new hobby, I think you got a great first DSLR (I'm still on the 2003 istD).

Good light,
Prieni
