Here's another example:

This does not look particularly sharp (didn't apply any USM after resizing).

And here's the 100% crop:

This example I didn't post on any WEB sites as I really don't like loosing the details in the brick work due to resizing. I am amazed, though, by the detail you can see at 100%. But then, I was used to 6MP from the *istD...

I recently upgraded from the *istD to the K20 and images are fine, I would say if anything they are sharper. But then, I'm shooting RAW and develop in SilkyPix.
This shot is an example (but of course it is resized):

I should see if I can pull out a 100% crop of it, wait a moment...

K20D, Sigma 105/2.8 EX DG Macro, AF540FGZ, 1/125 s, A11, ISO100.

As you can see from the specs I have a K20D again (and won't give that out of my hands again lightly)! And it works with the AF540FGZ (and the 360 as well). I had a bit of a scare, though, as at first it didn't seem to recognize the flash gun (again). Second time round, though, it did. Phewww.

So Sunday morning (before the F1 action from Bahrain) I had a stroll through our little fishing village and amongst other things took a few shots in to the smoke ovens with the freshly smoked fish.

Can you believe it, I got the new K20D on Monday but only had time to lay my hands on the box on Thursday evening (I organised an international workshop and had no minute to spare). This really was torture...

Good to see some competition for Prieni at last

I thought that it was going to be a walkover

I have not quite settled on what to enter yet.
You think so? I just got my hopes up and then there are other entries... Darn...

No, seriously, good to see the shots coming in (and some seriously good stuff as well!).

Congratulations George and "well done" Chirpy, another swift judgement!

I really love the second one. Have to give it a try next time I'm on the pebble beach close bye.
First one looks fine, too, but the second one does it for me. Great!

One thing that I really could not stop was tilting the camera after shooting to look at the back. It is just a reflex now as I am so used to doing it.

Well, could be worse, you could have tried to compensate the serious underexposure.
