I think this weeks competition gives an unfair advantage to Clarky and others from 'down under'

Yeah Clarky's bound to win it. It's not fair, he MUST win!

Don't worry, I have a cunning plan. If he looks like winning, we'll disqualify him for being non-UK.

I think that Clarky was so 'fazed' by being promoted as last week's favourite that he could not make up his mind which image to submit

Good to see some competition for Prieni at last

I thought that it was going to be a walkover

I have not quite settled on what to enter yet.

I've got a thing about photographing 'rubbish', I have a folder with various images of litter. I don't know why because it annoys the hell out of me!
Please call me aj,

I use a Pentax K10D, on a MacBook with LightRoom (vers 1.3 + beta 2)

Tyr,

Your entry contravenes the express instruction of "no 180 degree rotated photos". The debris on the pond is a bit of a giveaway, it appears to be in the air.

Cheers,

You know you said "no 180 degree rotations"?

What if we take the picture with the camera upside down

that is an interesting question. often, when using the built-in flash for fill, outdoors, esp with close up subjects, I turn my camera upside down so any shadow created by the lens hits the sky...and therefore doesn't show up in the image....
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I've done that a number of times as well when I want to get fairly close and there is a bright background.

George -

That is a nice photograph and would have qualified for last week's competition as well

Is that a regular occurrence (seals in Peel harbour) or did you strike lucky :
