If you shoot Jpeg you can't use the Pentax Photolab. Raw files only.

I use the Photolab combined with the Pentax browser quite a lot to do quick jpegs from snapshots.

In the Pentax browser you just mark all the pictures you want as jpegs and choice a destination. Then the program makes the jpegs from the raw files. In one go

If I get some shots I want to do some work on I open them individually in the Photolab to develop a TIFF and then use either gimp or PS CS to do the rest.

So for fast jpegs the Browser is very easy - and you always have the raw file to do more work if you want to (e.g. change the WB or so.)

That might help a bit!

A very good collection. Really good. I guess you have some experience off snapping.

The best part of the shots are how good you caught the sky. Most have troubles getting the sky blue. Usually the sky is blown out. But not here. Excellent.

As you mention a few mistakes now and then. But overall very good.

On the church shoot with the trees, I think the focus is wrong. Not sure if it is intended but it seems like you have the focus on the branches and not the church??

The best shot is the new arena with the guy on. Good!

I tend to use my Pentax FAJ 75 - 300mm quite a lot.

I love this lens - and it is cheap. Some don't love it, but my results are pretty good.

If you follow the link below - and watch the nature thread, almost all shots are done with this lens.

I think its around 100 £ from new......a bit cheaper second hand.

If you need a faster lens - don't use it. I only use it for outdoor shots, and the light is quite often enough to have a very fast shutterspeed.

hmmm.............

It seems like some of the shots are corrupted or something.

I can open them in the pentax photo browser, and watch the small preview in the bottom left.

When I try to open (just 5 images) them with the Pentax Lab. it fails to display the picture int he preview. Also fails to display them in the big format in the Pentax Browser. I cant extract a jpeg from the browser, neither a dng...

Any ideas why? It is just a few images....

(I'm quite surprised how many old pictures the Rescue Pro found)
