Very good images - And very good use of the fishy!! I really like those.

Just a note. Last one- is it a bit off center or just me? Was that made on purpose?

Whats the max size for piccies on here please and in what format do i take them-i have not used raw mode yet !!! Also i see someone mentioned picasa2 -will that do for most "general" needs -ie image size reduction -etc etc . Thanks for your time on this and hopefully soon i'll have some good pix,got some nice ones (250)- of a harris hawk whilst on a Hawking experience this wkend but cant post them !!!! DOh !!!
Well we don't have any rules regarding size that I'm aware off. But usually we tend to make them around 800 wide. That way most can view them on the screen.

If you start to shoot raw - you will need a raw converter to produce jpegs or similar. Pentax provided you one with the camera. Others use silkypix or other third parter programmes. (the pentax one is based on silkypix).

Picassa2 is a usefull tool to organize you pictures on the computer. I wouldn't use it for editing. You can do some basic editing to start with. I would probably go for a copy of photoshop elements or if you are keen to learn loads - Photoshop CS, CS2 or 3 depending on your wallet.

There is loads to learn

Indeed a very strong composition - very well made.

My first comment was the middle one - the sky. Then I read AdamP's note. I felt the same.

If you could add a bit of color to the sky -it would work wonders for me as well.

The others are just stunning good!

That SDM converter - is not announced as a teleconverter with a crop factor. Any ideas why?

I actually thought until I read this thread that the converter was to give SDM to common AF lenses. I might be completely wrong on this.....

What a difficult subject. Most of my pictures have a little story. And I really don't think it's up to me to add text as well. So I figured this one told the story it self

I use my sigma 28-70 as my "kit lens" now. I'm very pleased with the result of this lens. A few times I needed the extra wide angel - but in the 4 months I have used it - only 2-3 times. Depends on your style. If you bring the 10-20 along - I doubt you will find any troubles at all.

Most of my posted pictures are done with the 28-70. Haven't regretted that I picked it up. I'm still waiting to get the Sigma 10-20. Should be able to pick it up in a month.
