'An abstract, subject matter: any plant in MONO'

This will get your creative juices flowing or not as the case maybe..

As you all know by now I do love my mono and I thought it time I set a subject incorporating this timeless medium, my most favourite lack of colour.....(I do commiserate Lenscape!)

Feel free to tone the image if you wish and to attach EXIF data.

cheers, Lilly

Seeing as my mock gcses are this week, i've gone through my (small) archive instead of shooting a new image.

Nice choice of subject anyway, good for those with macro lenses (in my opinion), though still manageable for those without.

A combination of a skull shot in Egypt on Kodachrome 200 with 50mm lens and a tree trunk shot in England on an *istDS with 18-55mm lens.

Bluebell taken in 2005, *ist DS, Sigma 105, 1/250 f2.8. Cropped. Raw developed in Photo Lab 3, Processed in Paint Shop Pro X2, Channel blend 30 red 0 green 70 blue to render green background dark, render plant light, and get the right contrast on the stamens. No other touching up.

PS I do have images of the same plant at smaller apertures (right down to f22) but I like this one with narrow DOF
