unless there turns out to be something seriously wrong with it, you just made the best lens purchase I've ever seen. I have literally turned green with envy.
I'm waiting to get it

The seller confirmed shipping now - So it should be on its way.

It seems to be a seller who are selling her dads (died a few years back according to her) old stuff - he was a photographer....

Thanks alot. It seems to be a very rare item.

If I get the deal closed now - it seems that I can get it below £100. That seems pretty cheap.

I got a really good offer for this lens - I think....

From what I can tell/read it should be one of the best macro lenses produced. Anyone around here got one?

Any input? What would be a reasonable price for a good one?

Thanks in advance.

Ok I give it a go.

First - I think you have done extremely well overall.

What I can tell - after looking very closely and for a (very) long time is, that I find the 2 first shots a bit darker in the botton than in the top of the shot.

First - to bad the background is not straight - all black.

Second - the white background in the second shot gets darker and darker. Perhaps some extra light would get it to get all white.

Fourth - best shot of the day!

Hope you can use my input.

I envy your skills.

I guess I over-compensated when re-processing the 3rd one then !

Yes Nimitz they are HDR, just helps to bring some detail out in these high contrast shots.
Nice. Another HDR fan around here. Good to know

A good first effort. What you need to learn are the basics of apperture, shutterspeed and iso. You have to do that to master a dslr. A dslr is probably one of the worst point and shoot cameras you can buy

The second and third are good shots. Best focus.

The last 2 are not to good. Probalby due to camerashake (no fast enough shutterspeed). Besides to much noise.

I recon you try to hook up with a veteran from here. I'm sure someone around here are from around Bristol and wants to help you.

Keep posting and trying.

The first 2 are VERY good (are they HDR?). Excellent light and a good mood. I do not like the Ps work on the 3rd one. Too light imo.

i think its possible with patience, I found this one on flickr, 5 minutes exposure. I really like it, probably a rock solid tripod used too. As far as i can tell this was taken in a K10d not modified.

Stunning shot.

5 Mins exposure - sure is a long time. Very creative image though.
