I searched the forums and note that some people use them. So:

Fyi - "Photographers have been warned not to place orders with online retailer camerabox.co.uk after it issued a statement saying it has 'been forced to temporarily cease trading'."

See http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/online_photography_store_in_trouble_ne...

(apologies if in wrong forum but I thought this one best so people actually saw it?)

Don't worry about the lens ambient housewife, I've got plenty that I could take apart if neccessary... thanks though

I must go and visit Arundel and Brighton sometime, useful to know some more shops . I bought my K-7 from the man in Guildford LCE, very helpful and pleasant.

many thanks as well Algernon, between the various suggestions I should be ok now - more a matter now of finding suitable parts for the various other parts of this construct, then seeing which of the various extending tubes make for the most useable addition. Thanks again!

Great suggestions, thank you so much. To be honest I just need any old tube thing that extends with a helicoid, I'm taking out the blades and glass. A 'variable length' extension tube. That T mount tube looks like it'd serve my purpose

Ambient housewife, you're nearish to me! Have you heard anything re-mr Cadd, I was under the impression they were moving shop or something. And this Arundel place, I've never been there, good pentax selection?

Thanks again

Hello,

Looking for a cheap and cheerful battered old junk 1:1 macro lens to take the glass and aperture blades out for a pet project of mine. K mount would be nice but any old mount would do. 50-100 mm preferred, thx

pm sent re af360

Hello, I'll take them please, can you send me details of your paypal account via a pm? Thx

What Smutje said - same.

Send him an invoice for the same charge as you charged the person commissioning it. Double income from same work. Big win.

The top one really shows how it can isolate a subject nicely. Cool piece of gear, I enjoy it immensely

Yeah, I'd agree, prefer un-straightened one. YMMV
