I'd think - K5 can use higher ISO therefore faster shutter speed

I'm surprised that manufacturers don't offer focus stacking in camera

K5 would be nice but I'm ok with K-7 for the time being. Kind of silly to replace so quickly. Just got a W90 so I can do underwater, if anything a proper filter set is probably next on the list.

It's a really good piece of kit, opens up all sorts of possibilities. I'm very happy with mine, means I don't need to buy any more long lenses for the time being.

Ok I suppose, but yeah full moon isn't a great time to photograph the moon. About the best you can reasonably hope for from a consumer zoom AND teleconverter rather than specialist equipment. Pentax K-7, Sigma 150-500, Kenko 1.5X TC. I used deconvolution and image stacking.

Sheer Coincidence, but these guys also have about the best prices on Lee filter stuff that I've been able to find by googling around. Not that anyone has any actually in stock though .

Depends what you bought it for. I'm about to have a K mount lens cleaned and I've been quoted £40. 50mm smc-a 1.7 can be bought for about £30 (if you're very lucky) - £70 (if you're very reckless) on fleabay, I often see them in charity shops etc where you can pick them up for a fiver or so.

Anyone know where I can get an SMC 50mm lens cleaned in the UK (ie the series preceding the SMC-M) and what sort of cost I'm looking at? Does anyone here offer that?

Many thanks
