I'm so happy that you've managed to sort out a camera, you've certainly immediately put it to very good use.
Despite living in Devon we've never visited Wistman's Wood and we really should. We have been to one of the other rare and isolated 'ancient oak woods' in Dartmoor which was also an amazing place, and we found it by accident!

1. Tape to the back of the window mat (I'd call this the mount)
2 & 3. Usually I use one or two small strips (approx. 2cm long) of masking tape at the top edge.
