That ancient timber is something - I really like the depth you've managed to convey. And all those detailed branches sure keep the eye busy, in a very good way. Bendy tree is runner-up (a grand specimen), and the boat's striking colours on the canal come in third. Beautiful light throughout the set.

Really like No 1, great detail. The roots and bark on the big tree on the right look like it would make a good black and white close up.

thanks for comments, usually it's a pretty boring walk but the heavy clouds and position of the sun just made it so different this time plus a bit of Autumn hanging on. have always felt there was an image through that "avenue" of trees but could never see it until i looked back along it rather than just looking the way we were going. NIK Silver Efex was used to get the end result.
