Widest aperture possible is best to narrow the DOF.

You need the Omni-Bounce OM-C or equivalent for the AF500FTZ.

Samsung?

Actually, I'm not sure if they make sensors, but I'd be surprised if they don't.

I personally like the idea of FF capable lenses fitted to an APS-C body, you don't get all the edge nasties that are possible with some FF lenses.

I haven't tested my K5-II in anger yet, that comes next Sunday when racing starts again for the 2013 season, but if it focuses as well in poor light as I'm hoping with my Siggy 70-200mm 1:2.8 lens attached, I may not need to buy another body, ever.

In fact, I'll be trying the DA*60-250mm 1:4 again and see if I can get more keepers from that.

I found much the same. I haven't got the 360's any more.

Personally, I'd disregard the replies and opinions of those who have never tried a battery grip.

I've used my cameras with and without a grip fitted and I find the handling much better with the grip fitted.

Plus, you can have twice the battery capacity available, and a spare memory card with you all the time.

Best advice, try one at a camera store and make your own mind up.

That's not purple fringing. It looks more like a camera problem to me.

Have you read and understood the instructions?

I'm guessing you've copied the .EXE file to the SD card. You need to run it on a PC to extract the .bin file and put that .bin in the root folder of your SD card.

Put SD card in camera, press and hold menu button while switching power on.

The camera will check its installed version against the version on the SD card and you'll have an option to choose whether or not to update it.

Part time for me. I shoot car race meetings in Spain where my images are published in local brit-rags and I occasionally help my son out in UK shooting horse events. He sells the images and gives me 'free' board and lodgings

Peter Jones from Dragon's Den has bought the Jessops brand to run as an online store.
