This might be a stupid thing to say but you haven't got the focus limit switch set have you?

Mine has a "FULL" or "LIMIT" setting on the side of the lens that specifically limits the travel.

When set to limit it can either focus from 0.45m to Infi or from 0.29 to 0.4 m depensing where the lens was set when the linit switch is engaged.

If this is not incorrectly set then maybe this is the thing that is broken.

I also know nuffin about this myself but found this....

It seems that the adhesive is applied to the whole surface.

I Might be wrong but I don't think the Mamiya comes with a built in sensor and requires coupling with a "Back" which will set you back the same, if not more, than the body/lens combo.

Strangely enough it the main reason for the purchase was that my favourite and most used lens from the days of film was my Tammy 24mm.

It's 36mm equivalent focal length on APS-C didn't cut it.

I originally bought the Tamron 10-24 to give me the field of view but found the flexibility of the zoom countering the way that had originally used the 24mm.

This little gem is very similar in size and field of view to that 24mm(though lacking the max aperture of f2.5)and from the first fitting I knew that I was going to enjoy using this lens.

How do you justify spending £500 on such a thing - I don't know, I can't - is it worth the price? Again I don't know, yet.

I'll let you know....

Still,

Could be worse.....You could've actually purchased an actual 7D!

At least the picture would look nice on the wall of my shed!!

Also. Would I actually be stealing from this seller if I downloaded the image from ebay and printed it myself?

Went from a K100D to the K7.

Brilliant camera. Great to use and I love the results that I am now getting from it.

My first camera was a Kodak Pocket Instamatic 110 bought for my 1st school trip to Le Touquet. Where, completely by accident, I captured a great shot of a lama as in leaned in to lick at the camera! I was 11.

For my 16th I got a Pentax ME Super. I wanted the 110 SLR but my dad said no! Thanks dad! I was hooked. And I have only owned 5 cameras since.

Incidentally for my 17th I got a drum kit. This spawned my other hobby.

In China a couple of years ago I picked up memory cards, £8 for 8GB, an LED Ring light (not flash but very useful) for £10, and an IR remote for £3.

All well used and still working.

I didn't find mush in the way of Pentax compatible optics but there was a number of tripods.

These items were all bought in the city of Suzhou.
