CARD OUT!

2 reasons......

No1 Because I can! (my pc has a built in reader)
No2 Because gradually over time the day to day micro-vibrations will cause micro-products of wear to accumulate between the contacts leading, one day, to the failure to save that perfect image! Every Time you remove the card this process resets itself!

This is the same process that causes your engine management light to randomly pop up on your car!

Why risk it!

I have recently began to hang my K5 off the arse end of my telescope.

I now have a 1325 mm f13 super lens!

Anyone else here in to astrophotography?

Cheers

I am on a £10 per month contract with Mr Branson.

The original handset died over a year ago and was replaced with a Bluechip VX1 which cost £9.49 from Tesco.

It is the smallest and simplest of phones - a bit like a simple LCD calculator with which I am able to make calls.

Yes but the faith is stronger. A blind faith, unerring no matter how many time those squ(G)ods fail you.

Man U fans, don't be too down hearted. Most of us football fans can only dream of Champions League football.

Relegated this season but I'll stick a tenner on Brum winning the Europa League!

Its a blind faith.......

Normally not a fan,

But #2 is striking and surreal and a very artistic interpretation of the scene.

I feel more tempted to dabble having seen it.

Nice one!

Last week I was sent on an engineering training course that just happened to be in Austria, which meant nothing to me, oh Vienna!

I arrived in the dark. A few beers and a schnapps or two and an interesting photograph of Stone Sour standing exactly where I was standing were my first impressions.

I awoke to this!!!!!!!

And so in the evenings, guided only by the noble art of Zen Navigation (well it was International Towel day on the 25th) I, along with two of my workmates, managed to get lost and found somewhere within the Tirol.

The photographs do not do in justice but were the best I could do.

Thanks for looking.

Blown Highlights?

Black Shadows?

Its only clipping! A technical photographic recording would not have either of these.

Art should have no limits.

Sometimes we strive to be technically perfect at the expense creativity.

A beautifully composed, technically perfect photo can stagger the viewer.
But you can also push the limits in every way, ignoring the rules to create an image that provokes thought. Or even set your camera wrong by accident and produce an image that benefits from the mistake.

If I can overdrive the Pre-amp on my Marshal to cerate the effect I want why can't you overdrive the sensor on your Pentax to create the photo you want?

Great work.

Each photo stands alone but by being tied by the subject they make for a great evocative series.

I look forward to the next contributions.

PS But DAMN! No.1 - Nova Scotia! Exceptional, beautiful, inspiring.

Thanks for the comments.

I do like the 1:1 crop myself though I still tend to think in 8x10 print sizes (though I rarely print these days so maybe 16:9 is more in mind) Must think out of the box more often - or should that be out of my box?
