Also remember building my own stereo speakers in the 70's - plans courtesy of Wharfedale.
I tried them out with the Rega via both the A1 and a friends Audiolab and they sounded great with the Audiolab but not so with A1.
My friend went off and built the floor-standing versions from HiFi World and didn't go out for about 3 months and I never finished mine.
Oh God I was such a nerd!

I tried the old A1 but both the volume pot & selector switch are far too noisy.
I have had a look around at amps of a similar vein and the "tune up" fee seems quite viable. First though, its coming to work with me for an ultrasonic vapour wash and a clean and lube of the pot and switch. I'll redo the heat sink compound and give it another go first.
As for the Rabbit!
The Rabbit is the fluffy kind, cute too. No Fluffy Bunny Pics for you fortunately!
Purely out of curiosity I googled the Ms Gold version and found a delightful purple cactus looking item with remote control, that looks entirely nothing like the rabbit currently nibbling on the broccoli that I should've been having for dinner tomorrow!
I didn't realise that there were as many varieties of Rabbit available!
I'm intrigued now!

If you want a real treat, try vinyl.
The Rega 3 is on the kitchen side right now!
All I need is a Phono amp as my old Amp is dead and Musical Fidelity are quoting £399 for a "Tune Up"
Any suggestions as I haven't bought any HiFi since 1985!

On route to the cupboard under the stairs I plugged it in, switched it on, connected my beyer' 'phones and pressed play.
I have not played a CD for years. If I buy a cd it gets ripped to media player and put on a shelf. Even the car has a usb port!
But this circa 1984 CD Player blew me away! HiFi is dead! I don't listen to music anymore. It's always playing via the PC and speakers but I never put a cd on and listen to it.
Maybe the cd player doesn't go in the cupboard. Maybe I will use it as an over-sized IPOD and start listening o my CD's again. And, maybe one day I'll play a record again!

PS The CD that I played was Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - :e Love In

Exposures were in the seconds so a tripod was needed. It was Compose, MF, Slot in the filter and shoot.
I was very happy with the results.
Haven't tried the K7 but I will now.

The cheapest way to gain a few stops would be the DA35 f2.4.
I haven't got one myself but photos taken with do look good. Plus I do think using a fixed focal length rather than a zoom, in a subtle way, alters the way you approach your shots and gives you an alternative.
A K5+35mmf2.4 bundle would be a great kit!

I have used this lens on a Nikon FA and K100D and found it a great lens.
I bought a used PK adapter, about £15 I think, rather than the more expensive PKA.
I lost the A capability but can't say I've missed it.
Here's one from the 03A

Quite unique, but what is Jimmy Greaves doing there (29).
