Yesterday around lunchtime on Dartmoor near Princetown, a lovely sunny day I took these all handheld K1 Mkii 28-105mm F-DA no filters.

These pics are SOOC except for the last one I changed to Black and White and boosted contrast and light a bit.
It's been very windy and the sea was stirred up, I was fascinated with how the foam swirled in and out of a gully so fired off multiple shots (never taken as many).
K1 mkii, DFA 28-105 mainly f11 as sunny day, various speeds probably 250th sec at least?

Took this yesterday, I'm reliably informed it's a male ruddy darter, I haven't done it's blood red colour justice in my PP'ing but he stayed long enough to get this detail. KP and DA* 300 F4 close up. Apparently you can tell the difference from the male common red darter because the Ruddy' has a waist.

Making the most of the fine weather, certainly for mid October.

These are from the South West coastal path near Wembury, no tripod but used a monopod/trekking pole.
The last pic of the house would have been improved if I focussed stacked, but still on the learning curve there!

I have converted the previous shots and added a couple more, as suggested by other helpful forum members - thanks peeps, it was worth trying to see the difference.
I used Gimp (with the Gmic-QT filter for the first tme BTW) which I'm still on the steep learning curve.
