So glad you are pleased with it - I hope you get plenty of use out of it
Then there is my P30N which I haven't got around to testing yet LOL. I'm becoming a bit of a collector, but can't help myself!! LBA and CBA?

Tested the lens today on the K1 and I am always surprised how good these little fifties are, especially closed down a bit, a bit of dust but I'm capable of cleaning out no problem.
Next week I hope to film test the MX little beauty.
As to the timer 'problem' - I watched a chap on youtube demonstrating the timer, and it behaved the same, so maybe that is how they operate normally ? I'm pleased and well chuffed as they say
This is a distance shot (not the best to demonstrate the 50) and cropped in camera to maximum, the detail is IMHO is brilliant.

HDR is an option I have not explored yet with PP on astro shots, I'll check if RT can do it.

I remember reading somewhere it wasn't and during freezing to death I saw lots of blown highlight red warnings I just assumed it to be that, my mistake but glad to hear it is still usable.

Treat my reply below as from a beginner, and all experts out there can correct at will
I used the Looney Eleven and it worked perfect for the shot, and checking the exif, no exposure compensation.
Also on Liveview the shutter was set to Electronic not manual, don't want any shutter shake.(?)
I did take a few with manually bracketing so was lucky with this one, and recall highlights blowing during my rushing (as usual) but that could have been when mistakenly using the TC with the K1 - not ASPC !
I'm no expert, and a complete beginner on Moon shots, there is a lot of good info on the tinternet; -
It's better when the moon is straight up rather than low on an angle, otherwise you are cutting through a lot more earthley polluted atmoshere to the moon.
Your picture is of a very near full moon I believe, better just before to get some shadow in the craters, and I wonder if you had some atmospheric 'pollution' and/or camera/lens shake?
The K1 with focus peaking is a brilliant tool, oh I probably didn't need to? - at 1/180th sec, but enabled Astrotracer.(?)
It looks a good exposure, (on my laptop) and in PP could increase contrast a bit, just needs a sharper finish?
Hope this helps but I'm sure other more experienced Astro/Lunar peeps on here can advise more accurately.
Regards

The KP sync speed is indeed 1/180 sec and slower depending on program and lens.

Hope you enjoy them, loaded the film before Christmas only just used up recently.
All taken on the K1000 with my favourite lens the SMC-M 28mm F2.8. Processed at the local shop MyPhoto and digitised, these are not PP just scaled down for the forum.
Considering none are close up shots I am impressed how sharp they are for an old lens.
