Yes much less, around £20 IIRC.
It's also a lot easier to carry.

The second photo has good 3D "pop".

Did the photos need much PP?
No in fact they really didn't need any but I'm currently pp using pp3 files for testing out.
The second one used exactly the same settings I think as the first one?
I had to transform the sky on the fort somewhat.
Cropped the Frigate one.

I'm amazed how sharp it is, don't think I'll ever part with it even though I have the later DFA 70-210 f4. PP'd in RT.

I was just thinking, (so I was), dare I say that the DA* 11-18mm f2.8 ED DC AW is a better lens? well in choice I would say so.
I do have both and I know the DA* can be used on FF at 18mm certainly and just a bit less. But the benefits are good having a zoom which will also take filters. My DFA 21 rarely leaves the shelf these days, my bad as it's the same with my DFA * 85mm f1.4 as that is just too big and heavy for me now. If I'm right then is it good news for an APS-C owner who is contemplating spending approx £1200 squids. The 11-18 also has that '*' so has better seals?? food for thought.

Nice shot BTW John, no favourite for me. Isn't one in Portrait and then the crop makes it a Landscape?

Again. Out on the E-bike on a beautiful day down to Wembury Point, this time the gate was not padlocked so got down to the pebble beach and took these. At least four people were swimming at the beach in Wembury, sea state was calm and busy with walkers etc.
A bit tricky as almost into the Sun, here they are, my choice is the last one.

Liked viewing these, lovely set, may I ask what camera and lens please? I too noticed the grainy skies - processing ?, makes them appear old photos to me.

This lunchtime at Mountbatten, Plymouth. Sun was breaking through slightly and at 18 degrees was pleasantly warm.
