Male Ruddy Darter dragonfly.

Took this yesterday, I'm reliably informed it's a male ruddy darter, I haven't done it's blood red colour justice in my PP'ing but he stayed long enough to get this detail. KP and DA* 300 F4 close up. Apparently you can tell the difference from the male common red darter because the Ruddy' has a waist.

It's a 'waist' of time deprecating your pic 'cos it's rather nice, and full of detail.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
