Here are two from a walk yesterday. Your comments welcome on the images themselves, and on using this lens to better effect.

Fun shoot! The last is my favourite also the most abstract.
The 1st and 4th are intriguing when considered together - an illustration of selective focus in composition! In both of these, though, I think my preference wd be a slightly greater depth of field, so that the guitar is a little more clear in the 1st, and Fender the same in the 4th.
Cheers,

Haven't tried too many bird photos myself (though not for a shortage of gulls here!), but I like your black-headed gulls - good focus, good lighting for that environment.
As for composition, I would suggest experimenting with positioning the birds somewhere left or right of centre (probably flying into the open space in the photo) to give the photo a sense of movement.
Cheers,

Pretty much everything displays OK with Firefox 2 so I'm wondering if pictures tend to get posted to look OK with a non colour managed browser (but that argument gets blown away with Mac users posting pictures that look good with Safari).
An almost-color-managed, Safari- and Mac-user,

Converted to mono with Silkypix's "mono 2", with some adjustments to contrast.
Does it work? Suggestions?
