Not normally a big fan of pointillism, but I do like no.3.
No.2 is interesting because I think you would normally expect the in focus area to to go across an image parallel to the sensor, not move deeper into the scene which is the effect here.

Thank you, Peter - glad you enjoyed them. I don't think you need to be an expert on birds to be impressed by the way these creatures live and act.

Thanks for your comments, all. I completely agree about the lovely calm atmosphere (at least on the day we were there!) All the more appreciated after movements being restricted for so long. It really is an attractive place.

Flamborough Head is a short drive south from Bempton. On a nice day it's a lovely spot, as I have tried to show here. Still K-12 + D FA 28-108. All comments welcome on any part of the day!

Bempton is well known for its seasonal seabird population - in particular gannets, puffins and kittiwakes. I have spent many hours in the past with long lenses and lots of patience! No more! But still a fascinating place to get a glimpse of how these creatures live! Still K-1 + D FA 28-105 - enough for a broader view of the environment.

Our first trip out for longer than I care to remember! A lovely day at Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough on the Yorkshire coast. First a walk along the cliff top towards Filey, with K-1 + D FA 28-105mm. Not a lot of variety, but so refreshing to be out in such lovely surroundings!

I don't recall ever seeing so many fields full of buttercups as there are this year. The field with the horse in my last post is by no means exceptional. Not always easy to get a good photo, though, as recently it's been pretty windy round our way. So here's one half-decent still image which I like for the colours and a couple taken when I was getting fed up of waiting for the wind to drop! K-3 + DA* 60-250.
