Summer RHS display at Tatton Park, Cheshire. One tent in particular caught my attention - mannequins dressed in flowers etc by local gardeners, the whole thing part of a world tour (I think) by a Canadian company, with part of any proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research. The only problem with trying to get decent images was the setting:

so a bit of jiggery-pokery followed and these are the results:

Thank you, all, for commenting - the area is particularly accessible via the Yorkshire Wolds Way, which winds its way from Hull (I think from the Humber Bridge) to Filey. It's a very pleasant walk indeed!

Without criticising the quality of the photos in any way, (in fact, I think the second "peephole" view is very effective), I can't help but notice and decry the presence of the dreaded, invasive himalayan balsam plant which seems to be taking over wherever there is a drop of water to moisten the ground. Our local streams, canals, lakes and reservoirs are dominated in places by the awful stuff. Staff at the new RHS gardens at Bridgewater, Salford told us recently they are tearing out their hair trying to control it as it invades from the British Rail-owned land next door.

Looks like your local nature reserve could be headed the same way, John!

... in the Yorkshire Wolds, where the skies are huge and the fields of wheat and barley go on forever. Hope these give an accurate picture. K-1 + FA 28-105

Thanks for commenting, all. Have to say that I wasn't aware of "negative space", but having looked it up now, I'm grateful for the lead-in!

We managed a few days up and down the Yorkshire coast recently. Robin Hood's Bay first, as calm as I've ever seen it. K1 + DA 28-105. All comments welcome.
