Looks to me like a good day out in lovely countryside. The first two are the pick of the set for me, but all are pleasing to my eye!

Think I agree with Steve about the blemish, though I would still prefer no. 1 as the bottom left unlit area in the second seems a little too dark and lacks the detail that's visible in the first. Still an interesting idea!

Always good to see such striking images, so different from the majority of posts. I have no idea how to produce images like the last two - care to share the technique applied?

Thanks for all your comments! Always interesting to see different choices of "favourites" - my own "best" choice would be no.5 - the ripples and movement of the water seem to produce a kind of impressionist feel, if that's not being too pretentious! A pity the effect is also upside-down!

... as autumn approaches. Hardcastle Crags, near Sowerby Bridge, is a lovely place to be. Light and dark are everywhere to be seen and that's what I tried to capture here. K70 + DA 55-300 PLM. Hope these appeal!

Not surprised that you really went to town here, John, and with good reason! It's a place I've long wanted to visit and your sets here only increase the longing! I for one am glad that you gave us so much to enjoy - thanks for posting!

Thanks, all. It was quite a steep learning curve to replace the backgrounds with various colours of "sky" - and very fiddly, too, since there were very few straightforward lines to follow and bits of background showing under armpits etc that I didn't see until I checked what I thought were final versions! Not sure I would do something like that again!
