I looked at no. 1 and thought "That's going to take some beating - it's got everything - light, colour, shape, trees, patterns - a lovely woodland scene." Then I came to no. 6. A robin posing? That's what it looks like to me anyway - looking straight at the camera, a little tilt of the head to one side and spot-on focus - a clear winner for me in a lovely set all round.

Nail on the head, there, John - I did lighten up the foreground a little in pp and wondered if I had overdone it, particularly in the first one. Needless to say, reactions to it seem to suggest not. Thanks for your observation!

Thanks for your comments, all. I wasn't sure how the horse in the field would be received, so I'm pleased about that! It was quite stunning to see the warm light in such as 7, 8 and 9, then turn round and see the threatening sky coming up behind!

A wonderful set, Gareth, with 6 and 7 being the pick for me.
Maybe if your local people see these, they may see what's going to be lost if everyone gives up the fight!

Lots of photographic promise in the late evening recently, with contrasting skies to the east and west. Got to make the most of the long days at this time of year! All taken with K-1 + FA 28-105. All comments welcome as always.

Thank you, all, for your comments!
By mid-afternoon the following day, there were no lines to be seen in any of these fields - hence "Just in time"!
For what it's worth, 4, 5 and 6 were taken from the top of the winding lane in 8, which gives access to the fields for the tractors; and the field with the bright yellow gorse bushes (No.5, top left corner) was the vantage point for 7, 8 and 9.

For all who like field lines, this is my take on this season's. Came across these by chance - just in time, as they were being cleared up while the light lasted. Tried for a broader view in some this time, rather than too tight a focus on the furrows. All comments welcome, as always!

Intriguing! The IR is certainly thought-provoking, like it or not. And I do like the old trees!

Thanks, John - I suppose few people post photos they're not happy with and yes, I'm more than a bit chuffed with how they turned out.

Thanks, Peter, that's just what I was hoping would attract people.

Serge, Peter, thanks for your comments. No.5 is my favourite of these, too, for the same reason.

My wife asked if I wanted to take photos of some cut flowers while they were still in reasonable condition. I didn't really fancy it, but who am I to say no? The only one I thought had potential was this dahlia, so tried to get something a bit different out of it. A mixture of K-1 + Sigma 70mm and K-3 + Tamron 90mm. All natural lighting. Do let me know if I succeeded!
