Brownsea Castle (historically Branksea Castle) is owned by the National Trust and leased to John Lewis under an arrangement that keeps it in good repair, the majority of the island is National Trust run with a reserve (know for its Birding) controlled by the Dorset Wildlife Trust.

Opposite the Castle across the water is Sandbanks - known for being one of the most expensive property hotspots in the UK with a sprinkling of ex-footballers residing along the seafront (including Harry Redknapp and "Saaandra")

Not surprised that you really went to town here, John, and with good reason! It's a place I've long wanted to visit and your sets here only increase the longing! I for one am glad that you gave us so much to enjoy - thanks for posting!
John
