Woohoo, 18-135mm WR, I hope its as good as the 18-55mm (or better).

ISO 80 !!!!!!

Can't see anything about 2 memory slots.

Notice too the new waterproof remote in the accessories list. It looks a bit bigger than the old remote, so might not get lost so easily .

I think 2 memory slots was wishful thinking. It uses the same body as the K-7 after all. No 2nd slot is not that much of a disappointment to me.

Thanks for the spec. I don't feel a need to replace my K20 yet, but an 18-135 WR lens is tempting. If it can hold its own against my 24-90 that is
K5IIs & ME Super with FA24-90, DA17-70, DA55-300, misc old primes; Fuji X20.

I'm seriously hoping they allow the turning OFF of the dumbfounded Dark Frame noise reduction feature on the K-5.

I shall be aghast if they haven't learned from all the complaints.

I see it says there is contrast based auto focus in Live view with face recognition; does anybody know whether that means it will autofocus in video mode? Anyone?

I also hope the 99 shot intervalometer is increased to 999 shots. 99 shots is far too little for time lapse photography FFS!!!

not 18 AF points but 11 - Fine, its the usual AF unit, but with a new processor.
7FPS - Excellent!
3 levels of RAW compression - interesting.
16MP - Understandable expecially as it will be the standard for prosumer (Canon apart). Do we know who has made it? My bet is on Sony.
80-51000ISO. Well that is the USP for APS-C. Will be interesting how it performs at that high an ISO. (Probably not good, but it will mean that 6400 will be excellent and 12800 good)

Yeah, I don't think anyone is expecting 'grain' free 51200. It's likely to be pretty grim, but still useful for Black and White rough shots.

If 6400 is excellent I shall be putting Ms Smeggy on the market immediately.

tw - can someone explain how having loads of AF points is useful. I just use the centre one, focus and recompose. Surely that's just as quick as using the 4 way selector to choose an AF point? Or am I missing something?

Think it is only useful when you let the camera decide the focus point, and then it locks onto to it for moving subjects.
Something i don`t really understand, being a Pentax owner.

K5 + 8mm-500mm zooms and primes

hmmm? It would have to be quick then. The AF-C on my K10 and K20 are no where near fast enough to track moving objects properly with any of my lenses
