I recently aquired a 28mm prime to reverse mount on the front of my Tamron 90mm, when I was looking through the viewfinder or using the live-view there was no sign of vignetting all looked okay but when I took the picture this was the result

I am thinking it is possibly because the front element of the Tamron is recessed a good distance back in the body, but am still puzzled as to why it is fine in live-view or viewfinder then gives this as the finished result. Any clarification appreciated.

as a side the picture was just so I could work out rough magnification.

Nice improvements to the 90mm though, changing to internal focusing and weather resistance nice additions to a fine lens, kind of glad there is no pentax fit yet though, my tamron is only a couple months old

The BMW you can see in the back of the first couple of shots chases behind the U2 when it lands and a ground-crew member hangs out and gets then in position, I think you can see a video on you-tube.

A good series of pictures not something you see very often.

I picked up one of the cheap ones, never used it yet, I tried it in the body with no batteries fitted, it went in and came back out no bother.
It is in my bag with fresh batteries just incase I either use all 3 batteries or forget to charge the spares, to be honest it is fairly well made in the end it is just a battery caddy for emergency back up in my case.

Great captures there, I haven't seen any dragonfly this year.

Thanks for the info & link. Heavy reading the first part(s), that sensor though is absolutely tiny and to get 16 million pixels on there amazing, then seeing there is even smaller sensors makes you wonder how far they can go.

But would be nice to see them use a clearer way to specify sensor size.

Just had a look through, now I don't know if it is just me but can someone decipher the sensor size 1/2.33"

is that 1/2" x 1/3" or just a ratio with v.poor skills mixing decimal, not massively important I'm just hurting my head trying to suss it out.
