If you have the Sigma EX 1.4 TC then the 120-400 is pointless in my opinion, the 150-500 would make more sense than the 120-400

It's the result of the partnership between Samsung and Pentax a good few years ago - Samsung branded a few Pentax lenses under their own name as part of them allowing Pentax to use their Digital Sensors (18-55, 50-200, 100 Macro and 10-17).
12-24 and 35/2 were also branded as Samsungs. I had the 12-24 until recently.

Yes, very noble.

Given that I thought I would get peanuts for a samsung version of the camera with the 2 lens kit I was surprised to have 10 people get in touch with me within 5 minutes.

So, if you are still thinking of selling the K10D on it still has plenty of residual value, and admirers.

I have always thought Outdoor Photography a decent buy. As the name suggests, it's main content are articles on landscape and wildlife photography and photographers but they do review cameras, lenses and outdoor kit. Reviews of Pentax have been generally favourable over the years and they do not seem to have a preference for any particular brand.
Outdoor Photography is very good indeed, no bias for or against. I guess this is where our beloved brand belongs as it is seen to be an 'outdoor' brand due to the excellent weather sealing.

Just out of interest does anybody know of a photography magazine that gives Pentax a fair shout. Not the usual "oh, and by the way Pentax have released a new full frame camera" etc, etc, almost as an after thought. Published pictures in these magazines are nearly always taken with a Nikon or Canon, rarely any other makes. I am looking for a publication that treats Pentax for the quality gear that it is.

I have noticed a trend that when they talk about the 'standard' focal length and the it's the diagonal of the 36x 24mm frame which happens to be 43mm, bypass the Limited and talk of the 45mm M43 lens from panasonic or the 50s from Canon and Nikon.

I entirely agree about Amateur Photographer. It has become a really tired and clichéd magazine and should really re-brand itself as Digital Mirrorless Cameras.
This will be the same editor who did a real hatchet job on Pentax last year basically saying they were finished and mirrorless products would take over the world. He is a big fan of Fuji and the magazine really pushes the brand on a regular basis.
I thought he was Panasonic, that's when he did come to our camera club extolling the virtues of the Lumix - he was shocked when I told him I couldn't stick EVF. I actually preferred Gary Coward-Williams or Damien Demolder as editors.
