I bought a cheapie Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8 to go on the F801S I bought a few months back which has been sitting unused as I had no lens for it. The Nikon is a little disappointing in build quality but even more so in that there are no half stops when using it in aperture priority mode. It's an unexpected limitation that I don't have with cameras that are much older. I only bought the F801S as it goes up to 1/8000s shutter speed, which gives me a lot of flexibility. The only other film camera I have that does that is the Pentax Z1, which is very similar in functionality, but uglier and doesn't take AA batteries.
2CR5 batteries still availble.

MZ-S was a wonderful creation and a lovely tool to use. Sadly, mine was being used less and less as time went on (and film became harder to obtain - I mainly did slides) and was sold alongside most of my film era lenses. I suppose now that I use only FF Pentax equipment I might just get another one for old time's sake.

Your remark about the queues in RP just reminds me of the annual photofest of the Darwin wannabees trying to feed the stags. Sometimes some people leave their brains behind at the gate. Then there is the issue of cyclists.
Just convinced myself to stay in bed later this weekend.

Another beautiful city to mention is Bamberg - pain to get to (trains from Munich are slow) but the centre is stunning. Regensburg and Rotenburg on der Tauber are other Bavarian gems.
Italy? Went to Bologna 2 years ago, without camera. Interesting city, lots of arcades and towers. Last trip to Italy coincided with the worst Acqua Alta in Venice (last November), I got very wet).
