I'm surprised no one has snapped-up the F35-70. It is a really good lens (don't be fooled by the cheap price it usually goes for, or the very bargain price this one is being offered for), and is pretty compact. One distinct advantage of older screw-drive lenses is that they are considerably more compact that the modern offerings. If I didn't already have one, I'd have this in a heartbeat.

I wasn't going to drop the price any further as it's a nice compact lens as you mention - just that I have the 24-70/2.8 (plus the equivalent Nikkor and the 24-120/4) so it's one or the other...
