Cliff(GX10Cliff), John(John941) and I had a great day out in Chester yesterday. Good company, good food but the light was not quite right unfortunately. The main purpose being to see this

and then have a wander round the city and by the river

and a perfect example of how one should be careful when taking a photo - I find this quite amusing a morris dancer with a lamp on his head.

C&C welcome

Over to you now Cliff and John.

Cheers

Another one to go with the one in the gallery. Taken with 55-300mm.

and one from the garden, also this morning, the first I've seen this spring. That's the sun reflected on it's back. Hand held, 50mm f1.7 plus 36mm extension tube

C & C most welcome.

Sorry didn't notice the end date in October. October would be fine for me. Agree April is really too soon, after thinking about it.

What a brilliant idea, I've been waiting for one of my sons to produce grandchildren so that I can take them but nothing seems to be happening. So I'll start it off. Any of these broad time slots are Ok except never on a Tuesday and within these periods - 26th May to 30th May(on hoilday), Week containing the 1st July (my father's 100th birthday) and 7th Sept to 20th Sept (away on holiday). Therefore the April dates are my choice.

PS I've a confession to make - I've not had my camera out of its bag for a week now. Please forgive me My excuse is that I've had an awful cold - the worst for several years and have not been in the mood.

Another great set. It must be the season for steam engines I'm quite envious of all these

Liked them all, especially the one with the dew drops and, of course, the last daffodil.

BTW Andrew (bwichmawr), I don't like leeks

Thanks Darlene, glad you like them.

Hi Simon, look forward to seeing your images when you are out and about again. Good luck with your publishing enterprise. Have you considered Oriel Mon in Llangefni? I saw your lovely shot of Penmon on the front of the Trinity House calendar but sorry didn't buy it.

I, too, prefer the first daffodil image, in the second I'd lost the heads until techno pointed them out. I like my daffs

Both "classic" North Wales viewpoints, that view from Devils Kitchen certainly hasn't changed any in 18years, thankfully !!

The Glyderau are by far my favourite location in Snowdonia

Thanks Simon, indeed classic viewpoints. However there was nobody else at the layby near Menai. Don't know what they're missing. Pleased to hear from you again and that Devils Kitchen hasn't changed despite it's popularity. Have not seen anything from you recently
