My manners are slipping, I don't think I've thanked all those who commented on the "Blue Tinge" thread - thanks.

Oh Howard...to see Cwm Idwal again... with that lovely sky.

Nice scan. Did you climb up through the Devil's Kitchen or just walk around the lake?

Regards,

Andrew
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew. We walked up to the top and looked into "Devil's Kitchen" then back round the lake. We had our then 8yr old son with us and we weren't really geared up to go further. I wish I could do it now but my knees would not take it. Ah well, fond memories. I'd actually forgotten I had this and one or two others.

Both "classic" North Wales viewpoints, that view from Devils Kitchen certainly hasn't changed any in 18years, thankfully !!

The Glyderau are by far my favourite location in Snowdonia

Thanks Simon, indeed classic viewpoints. However there was nobody else at the layby near Menai. Don't know what they're missing. Pleased to hear from you again and that Devils Kitchen hasn't changed despite it's popularity. Have not seen anything from you recently

Go up to Idwal in a couple of months time and you'll see a difference.

Loads more flowers in recent years, now they have stopped over stocking the sheep.

Hi Howard,

Yes, I've not been around the forum much recently for a couple of reasons really...

The weather whilst seemingly good for landscape photographs (at least the snow) has actually stopped me getting out as much as normal, I've found the road conditions in North wales too often a little dangerous to venture to my usual locations.

On a more positive note I've been talking to a couple of publishers & hope to have one or two more of my photographs in print in the near future.

I'll be back on the forum a little more frequently now the weather is making a change for the better

Thanks Darlene, glad you like them.

Hi Simon, look forward to seeing your images when you are out and about again. Good luck with your publishing enterprise. Have you considered Oriel Mon in Llangefni? I saw your lovely shot of Penmon on the front of the Trinity House calendar but sorry didn't buy it.

Hi Howard,

I think Oriel Mon is a little out of my league to be honest, never really considered it.

I'm suprised you came across the Trinity House calendar, it's very poorly advertised...I'm hoping for better exposure later this year with a couple of front cover images on the more widely available North Wales/Snowdonia calendars (fingers crossed !!)
