Hi,

I have a SanDisk UltraII 512mb in my DL2. If that's considered "fast" then I've had no problems at all. I've had more problems with a "MyMemory" card and, in fact, have reverted to using the SanDisk.

I can't answer your question I'm afraid but you will be able to answer mine and I'm going to show my ignorance. What does HSM stand for? (I'd put a smiley here if I knew how to do that).

It was for "shooting" birds that I had thought of the mirror lens, hence my raising the thread on mirrors.

PS I go to Pennington Flash to see the birds there's a very good feeding station there. A bit far from Leeds perhaps.

Thank you all for your advice, I knew I'd come to the right place. After reading your replies I have decided not to go for such a lens. The only place I have seen them advertised is on ebay. I have a Sigma 75 - 300 lens which works well, to my inexpert eye, with my DL2 so I'll stick with that.

Hi all you good folk,

I'm very much a new comer to this forum, this is only my second posting a syou can see, although I've browsed a lot over the last few weeks.
For many years I've fancied having a long telephoto lens and on many occassions have considered a mirror lens for my old P30n and ME Super and I still would like a long lens for my DL2. What is the consensus of opinion about mirror lenses? Would the out of focus "doughnuts" still appear with digital? Are they wortth the money? Even from Ebay.

Hi, I am a newcomer to this forum, so please excuse me if I make mistakes. I came across it whilst looking to see if any body else had had problems with SD cards from myMemory.

I bought a 1Gb card to go into my DL2 to go on holiday to Tuscany. It worked well to start with then after 270 shots or so I got a "Memory card Failure" message which coincide with my batteries going flat. I was able to view all on one of Jessops machines when I got back but it would only copy 220 to CD. I have tried all sorts of digital recovery packages noe of which work satisfactorily. Can anybody recommend a good package? I can't even format the card now.
So along with several other correspondents I have decide in future to buy 2 * 512 rather than 1Gb, and to go for named cards.
