More spots

You know the ladybird shot isn't sharp - and being blunt/rude if it's not sharp it's not a keeper.
I'm not convinced the horse shot is all that sharp either. I think dobbin needs some help to impose himself on the composition. At the moment he's competing with the trees and that fence is sweeping through him. And, while everything may be level it doesn't look level so he looks like he's running downhill.
I don't take photos of animals but I would imagine a much lower viewpoint and having him coming towards you would probably eliminate some background issues and engage the viewer more with the horse. Also a wider aperture would throw the background out of focus and as a by product give you a faster shutter speed.
